Let’s Explore Luzon

“Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta

Let’s start traveling Luzon. Luzon is the largest island in the Philippines and the most populous one. I was born and raise in the capital city of the country “Manila”.

The only province I remember I’ve been is Naga City which is in Bicol Region. I can’t forget the first time we ride a train and I was so amazed with the view. I was so thrilled of the green grass and keep on pointing at the cows and carabaos. I am around 4 years old that time. I can’t forget that because it left a mark on my left foot. As I was watching the view, I accidentally rested my hand on the thermos and hot boiled water poured on my foot that makes me cry my heart out. My parents didn’t know why I cried and tried to calm me down so my wet socked was still burning me and it is too late when they found out. Well, it left a scar and I don’t mind it now.

My parents told me that I have been to our province (Iloilo City) but I don’t have memory of it. Maybe I am too young to remember. So let’s go back to Luzon.

Luzon has 8 Regions and these are the following:

Region 1      – Ilocos
Region 2      – Cagayan Valley
Region 3      – Central Luzon
Region 4-B – MIMAROPA
Region 5      – Bicol Region
CAR               – Cordillera Administrative Region
NCR               – National Capital Region

Let’s see where I have been and where I haven’t yet. I’ve been to Ilocos last year, I have been to Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol, CAR and NCR.

That’s left MIMAROPA alone. Well, I have plans to go to Palawan next year so I will be touching base on that region.

Though I have been to some of the Regions, it doesn’t mean that I have gone to all the provinces but there is at least one that I’ve been to.

The story behind those travels will be on my next blogs.

That’s it for now. Tomorrow let’s head on to North Luzon! Remember you are welcome to share your travel experience and your bucket list on the comment section 😉
